Mimír

This is the home of the development of Mimír's backend.

Currently the backend consists of two parts:

• The Monitor: A process that accepts XMPP publish-subscribe notifications of news items, stores them in a database, monitor's user's XMPP presence and sends out notifications to users.
• The Aggregator: A process that aggregates RSS and Atom feeds over HTTP and republishes them using XMPP publish-subscribe.

Name

Mimír is one of the ancient Norse deities. He is the wisest god of the Æsir.
